Biography
Claudio Grandinetti was born April 27, 1952 in Cosenza, where he resides. Since 2001 he works at the University of Catanzaro Magna Graecia. From 1975 (first solo show at the Festival of "The Next") sets out a number of exhibitions and shows of contemporary art, among which include the Art Expo in Bari (5th Edition), La Biennale Silarte, the Biennale South & South, the 'traveling' to Cover Mode "by Tommaso Trini, and in various exhibitions in Cosenza, Bari, Naples, Reggio Calabria, Roma, Pordenone, Florence, Milan and Venice. Since 1999, numerous Internet sites devoted to permanent exhibitions including Ceris Arte, Tripod, Tiscali Arts, Made in Calabria, On Line Art Section Art Cafe, Size Arts Edimedia, Lycos, Artifex Gallery, Jinxs, Top Arts, Arts In Saatchi Gallery and more. Since 2000 he is attracted to the Mail Art, which led him to produce works for important files such as Whirlpool Argentina, House of Tolerance, Symposium Cortese, Antonio Stock Sassu, Team & Co, Boek861 magazines such as Film Traces of Arts & Equip Co Cards. He participated in biennials as important as that of London, of Alexandria, the 4th International Mail Art Biennial in Germany, one of Ankara in Turkey, the 51st Venice Biennale and for a number of international projects. Since 2002 he is the creator and organizer of the International Mail Art Archive for the Study Guzzardi and the web site Ceris Arte. He was invited at 51st Biennale di Venezia, London Biennal, Ankara Biennal. From 2002 he is art director of Guzzardi International Mail Art Archive displayed on web site Ceris Arte. In 2004 he organized the Mail Art project "Invadere le Invasioni" and its Festival with exhibition, convention, installations, video and performances and than "Quando il postino porta l'arte" (The postman arrives with Art) Mail Art project with exhibition. In 2006 organized the Mail Art Project "Tarocchi" (Tarots) together with Guzzardi Tarots collection and the third International Exhibition of the International Mail Art Archive in Cosenza Italy. In 2007 organized the Mail Art Project " Macchina da scrivere " (Typewriter).
