After the preparation of the Mole Vanvitelliana Ancona fourth edition of the Biennale Artemisia Award 2010, National Exhibition of contemporary figurative painting the exhibition, with critical acclaim and made public, arrived at the Center for Documentation of Contemporary Art in Falconara M. (An) on the occasion of Christmas.

Specifically it is a selection that showcases the works of artists who won the 2010 Artemisia Prize, the Prize for Young of Critics Award and seven other artists rewarded.

There are Paolo Di Rosa, Anila Shapalaku , Elena Giustozzi, Bonfilio Barbara, George Celon , Hernan Chava, Gianpiero De Gruttola , Domenico Gattuso, Arianna Marinelli, Giancarlo Petrini.

The Biennale 2010 Artemisia is also well documented in a didascalizzare created explicitly for contemporary art in its various forms, from historical reflection - the most critical to the daily chronicle of 'art as in this case is the result of Artemisia Biennale 2010.
The Biennale is a chance for reflection on the research and promotion of contemporary figurative painting, to detect, in a specific language, these young artists or those with outstanding qualities and poetic techniques in the field of artistic practice and provide the opportunity to present a review of national resonance. It appears that a recovery of the painting that can help to historicize, in contemporary art, the value of a pictorial research aimed at the very moment of its becoming.

As with previous editions, there was a variety of figurative expressions of great value. Also this year highlight the participation of some known artists thickness and of great importance in the arts also protagonists of historical events in contemporary art as Paola Gandolfi to which he was awarded the Critics Prize.

After the first few conceptual experience gained in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, Paola Gandolfi definitely choose painting as a privileged mode of communication. His attendance at the Roman with the historic Galleria La Tartaruga Plinio De Martiis, at which arrives with a group show in February of 1981, bears witness to its historical importance as an artist who actually participated in this shared desire for rebirth aesthetics of art in search of a new representation . The absolute star of the artistic revolution that begins in the late seventies, Paola Gandolfi therefore fully deserves its place in the 'of those artists who have transformed from the evolution of art and its presence within Biennale Prize of Artemisia 2010, is that this event holds significant importance in the artistic national.

is finally to be put in evidence that the current edition of the Biennale Prize Artemisia devotes a significant tribute show to one of the most important Italian artists of the Second World War, Claudio Cintoli , framed by the critics (in particular for his work of the 70s) as in a line facing conceptual art. The protagonist of Italian art in the late Fifties and the Seventies, with her being restless, generous waist and was the author of an artistic experience that has traveled the road hyperreal up to Dadaism. In this exhibition, perhaps for the first time, faced an almost systematic study of the strictly figurative artist production that characterized the poetry and the work throughout his career. Recently there is renewed interest around the work and the figure of Claudio Cintoli which, in recent years have been dedicated major exhibitions.

The exhibition is laid out a path of figurative works from the artist's first sketches of the works painted in hyper key, the last graphite drawings.
